Job Description

The Product Marketing Director for ABC Glofox is a strategic role that is responsible for product marketing, channel marketing, and the overall communication strategy in a matrix company organization.

This position is instrumental in defining the go-to-market (GTM) of our gym and fitness studio segment through compelling product launches and channel alignment. The Product Marketing Director will orchestrate end-to-end product launches while collaborating with the VP of Glofox Platform Marketing and Growth Marketing team to optimize inbound, outbound, and indirect programs.

The Product Marketing Director will work collaboratively with global demand generation, performance marketing, marketing analytics, sales operations, and other product marketers to help plan, coordinate, and execute the marketing strategy to educate our buyers, attract the right audience, and generate interest.

The position reports directly to the Vice President of Platform Marketing for Glofox.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Go-to-market planning and execution: Develop go-to-market plans for new growth programs, product launches, feature releases, and major updates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and successful execution, including coordinating marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and customer communications.
  • Work with growth and marketing analytics to optimize our marketing funnel for SMB, Mid-Market and Enterprise segments and high-touch sales motions.
  • Market and competitive analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to understand the fitness industry landscape, customer needs, market trends, and key competitors. Leverage insights to position our software effectively and differentiate it in the market.
  • Product positioning and messaging: Craft compelling value propositions, product positioning, and messaging that resonate with target customers. Clearly articulate the unique benefits and features of our gym management software to drive customer interest and preference.
  • Content creation and collateral development: Create high-quality marketing content, including product collateral, sales presentations, website content, blog posts, case studies, and videos. Tailor messaging to various buyer personas and stages of the customer journey.
  • Sales enablement: Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team to develop enablement tools, such as sales training materials, product demos, FAQs, and competitive battle cards. Provide ongoing support to the sales team to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and resources to effectively sell the gym management software.
  • Customer advocacy and testimonials: Identify satisfied customers and facilitate the creation of customer success stories, testimonials, and case studies. Leverage these assets to showcase the benefits and impact of our gym management software and drive customer advocacy.
  • Product feedback and market insights: Gather customer feedback, market insights, and industry trends to continuously improve our gym management software. Collaborate with product management to prioritize feature enhancements and identify new market opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Extensive relevant SaaS or software marketing experience with increasing responsibility, with proven experience in a management role (member management software, fitness technology or financial technology experience preferred)
  • 15+ years overall experience, with 10+ years managing B2B SaaS or SMB experience
  • A keen eye for detail, a passion for dissecting campaign performance data, and a thirst for knowledge
  • Communication skills – Impeccable presentation, copywriting, copy editing, speech writing abilities
  • Listening skills – Ability to understand not only what people say but what they might be hesitant to say or what they may otherwise be unable to effectively communicate
  • Interpersonal skills – Exceptional relationship building skills. Ability to help negotiate priorities and align on common objectives swiftly
  • Proficiency with Pragmatic Marketing or other similar framework ideal.

Canada Applicants:

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only and based on employees in Canada and may be different in other countries. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay range for Canada based candidates for this position is $124,000 — $170,500 CAD annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions.
